Jeff Bullis
President & CEO
President & CEO Jeffery Bullis combined his manufacturing expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and keen business acumen to found Absolute EMS in 1996. Thus, launching a successful and high-reliability Contract Manufacturer in the Silicon Valley.
Jeff also was the owner of Jamesburg Earth Station located in Carmel Valley, CA before selling the dish and surrounding property. The dish played a role in capturing and distributing images of the Apollo 11 moon landing and the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.
In his early career, Jeff was the manager for ABX Engineering. This is where he developed his passion for delivering leading-edge technology and manufacturing solutions for the fast-paced Silicon Valley customer base.
Jeff enjoys traveling both domestically and internationally for leisure, education, and business. He is a collector of fine arts, enjoys boating and is an avid water sports enthusiast. Jeff has been awarded community service achievements throughout his career and continues to volunteer his time to local charities in Half Moon Bay (IDES Society and the Brotherhood of St. Anthony). Jeff also has assisted in funding a Horse Rescue Facility in Aromas, CA.
Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Notre Dame De Namur University.
Doug Dow
COO
As the COO of Absolute EMS, Doug Dow brings more than 25 years of strategic, innovative manufacturing and operations expertise to the company. Over the years, Doug has worked on both the entrepreneurial and corporate sides of business, providing a unique, beneficial perspective.
Mr. Dow began his early career working for the Office of the Governor, State of Washington.
He went on to run a large printing company, increasing revenue from $23 million to $46 million in only a few years. He accomplished this through new product introduction and outstanding customer service.
After that, Doug became a successful, hands-on business/franchise owner for California Closets. His innovative manufacturing strategies became a cornerstone for lowering costs and successfully growing his organization to five locations across the United States.
Doug and his wife relocated to the San Francisco Bay area in 2019. Doug is an avid golfer and boater, as well as a fine wine and scotch enthusiast. Doug earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pacific Lutheran University.
Jayne Carthy
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Jayne brings more than 20 years of successful management, business development, and marketing experience to Absolute EMS where she serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
When asked why she joined Absolute EMS, Jayne replied, “I have been in contract manufacturing in the Silicon Valley for over 20 years. The opportunity to join a smaller EMS with an established and prestigious clientele and to be part of the reinvention as we create a 4.0 closed-loop facility was the draw. We have an opportunity to impact Made-in-America manufacturing as we create the perfect automated, yet flexible manufacturing solution. The industry is ready to transform, and we are a part of this.” Prior to joining Absolute EMS, Jayne has had management and direct contribution positions at some of the well known EMS providers in the industry, including Naprotek, Flextronics, Sanmina, and Solectron. Jayne earned her BS/BM degree from University of Phoenix.
Ray Amirkiai
Quality Manager
Ray Amirkiai joins AEMS as the Quality Manager. Ray has an impressive background in quality assurance and operations engineering/management, Amirkiai brings a wealth of expertise and experience to further enhance Absolute EMS’s commitment to delivering exceptional contract manufacturing services.
Amirkiai’s career has been marked by outstanding achievements in the development of world-class networking equipment, consumer electronics, wireless products, storage devices, automotive components and power generating products. His notable projects include Amazon’s Kindle, Disney’s Kid Phone, Motorola branded Cellular Devices, Phillips Optical Drives, and the Tesla Model 3 Instrument Panel.
With a strong background in quality assurance, Amirkiai is well-versed in optimizing processes using quality tools such as FMEA, CpK, and SPC. He has also conducted numerous product design and regulatory qualifications testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO13485:2016, AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001:2015, IPC-A-610 Class 3, J-STD-001 Class 3, and UL registration.
David Godinez
Operations and Engineering Manager
David Godinez joined Absolute EMS in 2020 as Operations and Engineering Manager. David’s vast Engineering, operational and equipment management experience made him a viable team member to join the Absolute EMS family during our growth and change in becoming a 4.0 closed loop facility.
David Godinez entered the contract manufacturing / electronics industry in 1998. Since this time, David’s career has grown, and he has been a major contributor at several leading companies in Silicon Valley, including Solectron, Hunter Technology, DDI, CTS and NRC. A true passion of David’s is to always achieve the highest possible manufacturing quality through processes that are scalable and repeatable, with state-of-the-art equipment and a “hands off” automated manufacturing facility approach. In his spare time, David enjoys travel, sporting events, and spending time with his wife and two young children.
